This past Saturday at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, six teams in the high school division competed for a chance to win a trip to KidWind in Anaheim, California.
KidWind is a national competition that has students designing and building small-scale turbines. The winning team creates the most innovative turbine with the highest energy output.
For the second year in a row, Botetourt's own Off the Grid team will travel to the national competition in May! They won first place and the Judges’ Award.
Last year, Off the Grid won sixth place at the nationals in New Orleans, out of 30 teams.
Congratulations, Off the Grid, we are rooting for you!
